Pavol Josef Safarik University was founded in 1959 as a second classic university of Slovakia. The university consists of four (4) faculties – Medical, Physics, Law and Public Management. Approx. 6,000 students are studying in the university and the teaching staff includes 1,250 people (professors and research staff).
The Cycles of Studies are available at the university –undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and PhD- in various fields. Courses are held in Slovak and English.
Safarik University is considered one of the best research universities, especially the Medical Faculty, and the education is based on the top findings of research and technology. In addition, the university has an intensive collaboration with other universities and research centers worldwide.
